Colin Kaepernick Will Join Carolina Panthers
Colin Kaepernick will join the Carolina Panthers, most likely.
Last week Kaepernick, 32, held a special workout for multiple NFL teams.
Originally the workout was supposed to be organized by the league. It was to be held at the Atlanta Falcons’ stadium and be attended by 20+ teams.
At the last minute, Kaepernick opted to thrown audible. Instead of hosting the event at the scheduled location, he moved it 60 miles away.
Ultimately, only seven or eight teams ended up going to the new location.
In the immediate aftermath, many wondered if Kaepernick had wrecked his shot at returning to the NFL.
Well, this week, Kaepernick’s attorney Mark Geragos appeared on the Adam Carolla Podcast.
While on the show, Geragos, revealed that two teams have shown interest in signing Kaepernick.
“One who is legitimately in need of a quarterback who had a very poor showing on Sunday and has got an owner that I don’t think gives a sh-t,” Geragos said.
Most believe that the first team is the Panthers.
Rookie quarterback got off to a hot start in place of Cam Newton, but has cooled since. Last week he threw four interceptions at home to the Falcons.
In his last season in the NFL, Kaepernick threw for 2,241, 16 touchdowns and four picks in 2016.
Over the course of his career, Kaepernick threw for 12,271 yards, 72 touchdowns and 30 picks.
Will the Panthers ultimately pull the trigger on Kaepernick?
Time will tell.
