Acquiring Christian McCaffrey from the Carolina Panthers midseason proved to be a pivotal turning point for the San Francisco 49ers.
After something of an up-and-down beginning to their 2022-23 campaign, the Niners have racked up eight straight victories and have as much momentum going into the playoffs as anyone in the league.
In addition to just stellar play at the running back position, the other thing McCaffrey brought with him upon his arrival in The Bay was his girlfriend, Olivia Culpo.
Culpo has become something of a mainstay in the headlines in recent months, and this week was no exception.

Culpo has been a welcome addition to the West Coast sports and entertainment scene given her penchant for being a social media star. Between her wild outfits at 49ers games, the unfortunate injury she sustained while trying to intimate with McCaffrey and her various party photos – she has little trouble setting the internet ablaze.

On a team that constantly generates buzz for things like the provocative photos Brock Purdy’s girlfriend and sister take, various players’ girlfriends taking suggestive pictures at games and Nick Bosa’s ex-girl doing that thing she likes to do – Culpo still finds a way to break through the noise.
As for McCaffrey, in addition to clearly thriving off-the-field with Culpo on his arm, he is also doing quite well for himself on it. He has surpassed the 100-yard rushing mark in two of his last three outings and is having his best year since 2019.

A lot of people thought that McCaffrey getting dealt to a true contender would pump fresh life into his career, and they were clearly right.
Time will tell if the Niners can win the Super Bowl this year, but they certainly appear to be on their way.
If they do end up climbing to the top of the mountain in 2023, the addition of McCaffrey (and by extension Culpo) will be a big reason why.
