Brock Purdy has done the impossible in a two-week span: he went from Mr. Irrelevant to one of the hottest young quarterbacks in the game.
At this point, there is a very real conversation to be had about whether the San Francisco 49ers will go with him or Trey Lance as their starter in 2023.
Following the Niners’ dominant victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this weekend, Brock’s fame reached new heights. As soon as it did, internet detectives went in and found the social media profiles belonging to his girlfriend and his sister.

It will be interesting to see where the 49ers go from here. Lance’s stripper woes and inability to earn the trust of his teammates plagued him right up until he got hurt.

Obviously a lot hinges on his ability to stay healthy. And clearly San Francisco needs to keep winning. Two tough outings against the Seattle Seahawks and Washington Commanders loom.
If Brock can stay solid, though – the 49ers may have found their quarterback of the future.
