Bucs Coach Gets Brutally Honest About Jameis Winston

A Bucs coach got brutally honest about Jameis Winston after Sunday’s game.

It was a year of high highs and low lows for the former Florida State star, and head coach Bruce Arians wasn’t afraid to point that out.

Speaking to the media following Tampa Bay’s Week 17 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, he acknowledged that Winston became the first quarterback since 1988 to throw 30 interceptions.

In discussing Winston, Arians said that there is “so much good and so much outright terrible” that comes with him. The good is clearly the fact that Winston is the first quarterback in team history to throw for 5,000 yards.

Arians also noted that the Bucs will need to have a serious conversation while evaluating Winston’s future with the organization.

In his time with Tampa Bay, Winston has put together a record of 28-42. To date, he has only had one winning season.

With free agency looming, it will be interesting to see what the Bucs ultimately decide to do with Winston.
