New Orleans Saints Are Signing Antonio Brown
The New Orleans Saints are signing Antonio Brown, that much is clear.
Now it is just a question of when.
ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter appeared on Sunday NFL Countdown this week and reported that New Orleans was blown away by Brown’s abilities during Friday’s workout.
“The Saints worked out Antonio Brown on Friday, and he caught every single thing that was thrown to him.
“He blew away the Saints in the workout, we knew he would,” Schefter said.
“The issue is the NFL. The Saints would like to sign Antonio Brown, but they’re waiting for the NFL to issue a ruling, and there’s been no clarity from the NFL as to when the league might make a ruling on the sexual assault allegations that were levied against Antonio Brown in the NFL’s active investigation.

“So as long as the investigation is ongoing, the Saints can’t do anything, but they would be interested in signing him, if only he were free.”
The NFL has provided no clarity up to this point on how long it was force Brown to sit for.
In an interview earlier this week, Saints head coach Sean Payton acknowledged that his team would need clarity from the NFL on Brown’s playoff eligibility.
Brown has been sidelined ever since a sexual misconduct allegation was made against him in September of this year.
Based on how vocal New Orleans is being regarding their interest in Brown, it is clear that these two parties will come together sooner rather than later.
Maybe it will be for the postseason. Perhaps it will be in 2020. But either way, this is a marriage that is definitely happening.
