Browns Star Responds To Odell Beckham Wanting Out
A Browns star responded to Odell Beckham wanting out of the organization.
Heading into this season Beckham was supposed to be a reborn.
The polarizing wide receiver had a messy divorce with the New York Giants. In Cleveland he was supposed to start anew.
The Browns gave up a lot to bring Beckham in.
Their hope was that he and Baker Mayfield would form a dynamic duo to lead the offense.
Unfortunately Mayfield has regressed this year and Beckham’s stats have suffered as a result.
Last week, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reported that Beckham was openly asking other teams to trade for him.
This report was confirmed by Chris Robinson of Yahoo! Sports.
With Beckham clearly on his way out of Cleveland, some team members are still in denial.
Mayfield vaguely alluded this week to not believing Beckham wants to be traded.
Then on Thursday, Jarvis Landry echoed that sentiment.

“I think he wants to be here. I know he wants to be here,” the star wide receiver said.
“It’s not even about trying to go somewhere else. I think for him he’s been the leader.
“He’s a guy that comes to work every day and that’s playing through injuries and all the things you want out of a player,” Landry continued.
“And inside this organization, he has a voice. He has responsibility to himself, to all of us to go out there and compete each and every Sunday. And he does that.”
Landry and Beckham played together in LSU, so clearly he wants to take some heat off his buddy.
But the fact remains, Beckham has made it clear he wants to switch to a different team.
Obviously the Browns would love to keep Beckham. He is talented and the organization gave up a lot for him.
Unfortunately the feeling is not mutual.
Beckham has made it abundantly clear that he wants out. And if he wants to be traded, Cleveland will be forced to oblige.
