Brett Favre Has Message For Patriots Star Tom Brady

Brett Favre had a special message for Patriots star Tom Brady this week.

If there is anyone in the world who knows what it is like to play quarterback at a high level in your 40s, it is Favre.

As such, the former Green Bay Packers legend decided to offer some friendly wisdom to Brady.

Favre was 42 when he played his last season in the NFL. Brady is also currently 42. When the season begins in a few months, Brady will be 43.

“Tom and I have had conversations over the last, probably, two or three years after the season was over,” Favre said recently.

“I just felt the need to tell him my opinion. I felt like his game had not declined one bit.”

Favre thinks that Brady simply needs to tune out the noise. In his estimation, the New England Patriots future Hall of Famer has not lost a step.

“I hear lots of people, so-called experts, say that his age is catching up with him,” Favre said.

“I didn’t see that. I saw a quarterback still able to do what he normally does, but the cast around him was not up to par.

“I didn’t see any decline in his arm strength. He’s not a mobile quarterback, even in his prime. To say he’s not moving as well as he once did, that’s ridiculous.

“He never moved well. You protect him, you get guys open — how many times did we see Tom frustrated this year because guys weren’t on the same page? You know in previous years, guys were on the same page because he wasn’t showing that frustration,” he continued.

“I think his game is as good as it’s ever been. His cast, I don’t want to say it’s not as good, I just think it’s inexperienced.”

Brady has already confirmed that he is in fact returning next season. The big question is simply: where will he play?

Odds makers believe that he will either return to the Patriots or link up with the Los Angeles Chargers. Although Brady has also been linked to the Miami Dolphins, Las Vegas Raiders, Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts, the odds of any of those teams landing him are slim.
