Baker Mayfield’s wife, Emily, caused something of a stir this week with her latest video.
As Baker prepares to make his bid to be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ long-term starting quarterback, Emily is ingratiating herself into the community as well.
This week, Emily found herself trending for something else.

As it turns out, she and Baker recently pledged $25,000 to the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County in Tampa, Florida. Beyond that, thanks to the Baker & Emily Mayfield Foundation, more than $100,000 was raised for the cause.
Obviously Baker has his fair share of detractors for his boisterous off-the-field persona and mixed bag on-the-field results.
But everyone should be able to agree that what he and Emily did here is really special.
In a week where Brittany Mahomes went viral for her provocative workout photos and Marissa Lawrence set the internet ablaze with her racy outfit, it’s nice that Emily blew up online for something so noble.
Big picture, charitable deeds aside, the looming season is going to be a big one for the entire Mayfield family.
Baker is attempting to slide into the shoes left behind by Tom Brady. Obviously the Bucs’ 2022 campaign was a disappointing one relative to their Super Bowl-winning season one year earlier. But they did still win the division.
Quite the start to the college football season already for Florida. https://t.co/fAMVXKi6p1

That is the mark Baker needs to hit in 2023. The NFC South is still really bad. The Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons are very green. The New Orleans Saints still don’t have a reliable quarterback, despite what they may think they have in Derek Carr.
The division is ripe for Tampa Bay’s taking. Baker just needs to deliver.
Will he ultimately be able to prove his doubters wrong and put together a successful 2023-24 NFL campaign? Time will tell, but either way, Emily will be there cheering him on every step of the way.
