Baker Mayfield Responds To Odell Beckham Leaving Browns

Baker Mayfield responds to Odell Beckham clearly leaving the Browns sooner rather than later in a recent interview.

Late last week Beckham made headlines when he made it clear that he wants off Cleveland’s roster. He is currently going through arguably the worst year of his career and clearly needs a change of scenery.

Coming into this season many hoped that he and Baker Mayfield would team up to form a strong young core within the Browns offense.

Obviously that hasn’t happened, though.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Mayfield thoughtfully chose his words when asked whether he wants Beckham back next season.

“I can’t answer that for him,” he replied.

“I mean there’s all the rumors going around, but I have my conversations with him and I know what we talk about so I trust him wholeheartedly.”

Cleveland gave up a lot to acquire Beckham this season, so it is unlikely they will give him up without getting a ton in return.

That said, there are a number of teams out there that could use a potent threat on offense – and they will likely line up with offers for the Browns come this summer.
