Arch Manning Recruitment: 1 School Emerges As Dark Horse

Arch Manning is the top high school football prospect in the country and the highest-ranked quarterback in the 2023 class.

In part due to his skillset, and in part due to his royal bloodline – Arch’s collegiate recruitment has taken on a life of its own.

There’s a reason why him offering some random blonde a pledge to a school in bed went absolutely viral. Where he is eventually going is a very big deal.

Up to this point, it has been presumed that Arch has his top picks set and that he would land with one of five schools. Turns out, that may not be the case.

According to college football insider Jeremy Crabtree, one school has emerged as a dark horse contender for Arch’s services.

“One school that may be able to take advantage of the changes in the coaching carousel – which, like for many prospects, forced some re-evaluation in Arch Manning’s camp – is Florida,” he wrote.

Crabtree is not alone in that assessment.

“(Billy) Napier and his staff seem primed to make a strong push for Manning, sources tell On3,” fellow college football insider Sam Spiegelman noted. “His offensive-minded coaching style has been well-received by Manning and there are Louisiana ties on staff with Jabbar Juluke and Corey Raymond.”

It will be interesting to see where things go from here. The Gators landing Arch would obviously be a huge coup for the program.

That said – Florida is a dark horse for a reason. Two programs seem to hold a special place in Arch’s heart and one is the obvious leader. Another major SEC school is also said to formally be out of the running.

Last year Arch threw for 1,913 yards and 26 scores in 10 outings. In addition, he recorded 381 yards and six touchdowns via rushing. The talent is there – and it is undeniable.

Again, this circus around him exists for a reason.

Where will Arch ultimately end up when it’s all said and done? Time will tell.
