Alabama Star Responds To Team Critics

An Alabama star responds to team critics in a fiery new statement.

This weekend the Crimson Tide knew what the stakes were heading into the Auburn game. Win and stay alive in the College Football Playoff hunt. Lose and go home.

They ultimately lost.

After the loss, many wondered if this marked the official end of the Saban Era in college football.

Well, Alabama offensive lineman Chris Owens made it clear this week that he is not a fan of all that talk.

“Everyone talking down on Coach Saban and the University of Alabama football team as a whole can kick rocks,” he said.

“Coach Saban is the greatest football coach of all time and the lessons he has taught me and my teammates go far beyond football. I wouldn’t trade this team for anyone else.”

With Alabama’s regular season now officially done, the program will have to wait and see who they will play in one of the New Year’s Six games.
