Aidan Hutchinson’s Mom Melissa Goes Viral At 2022 NFL Draft

Aidan Hutchinson’s Mom Melissa Goes Viral At 2022 NFL Draft

The Detroit Lions selected Aidan Hutchinson with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Many had the Michigan standout as a potential top overall guy heading into this process, so him dropping to the second pick raised some eyebrows.

That said, Aidan’s draft placement wasn’t what he ultimately went viral for on Thursday night.

Rather, it was for something else entirely – his mom.

Melissa Hutchinson, for obvious reasons, emerged as one of the big stars of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Understandably, reactions to Melissa started pouring in as soon as the visual of her at the draft went viral:

It goes without saying that Melissa’s profile will only grow now that her son is in the NFL. Presently, she boasts a little over 5,000 followers on Instagram. That number will likely increase dramatically over the next 24 hours.

Even now, Melissa does great engagement on her posts:

It will be interesting to see how Aidan ultimately fares in Detroit this year. Many thought the Lions might shock the world and go quarterback early in the draft, but clearly they’re riding with Jared Goff instead.

There have been some concerns about Goff, what with him being more interested in ogling his girlfriend’s provocative videos than preparing for the upcoming season, but obviously that hasn’t deterred the front office any.

Aidan had a very strong run at Michigan, right up until the end of his collegiate career. At that point both he and the Wolverines embarrassed themselves on the big stage, leading some to speculate that it would influence where he went in Thursday’s draft.

In the end, Aidan still ended up going top two – so clearly everything worked out for him.

Will the Michigan star ultimately make a run at DROY this coming season?

Time will tell.
