Aaron Rodgers Gets Brutally Honest About Brett Favre (Video)

Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre have seen their relationship evolve greatly over the years.

In the beginning, Favre saw Rodgers as competition. The guy slated to take his spot. Much like Rodgers reacted poorly when the Green Bay Packers selected Jordan Love, Favre didn’t have the best of responses to Rodgers getting picked either.

As Favre’s career wrapped up and everyone moved on, however – their relationship improved tremendously.

Favre’s comments about Rodgers last week speak for themselves.

During a recent appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers made his true feelings on Favre very clear.

“I was in a room for 3 years with a better player than me for the first time in my career and I got to see what greatness looked like up close,” Rodgers said.

“I got to see the difference between his game and my game — and how I needed to improve. I got to see a leadership style and take some things from it.

“I was fortunate to play behind Brett for three years. I learned a lot of incredible lessons.”

Rodgers added that he and Favre established a “mutual love and respect” for one another.

Over the offseason Favre spoke at great lengths about the approach Rodgers was taking to express his displeasure with how the Packers do things.

It appears that hasn’t hampered their relationship at all, though.

Rodgers and Favre are two of the most exciting quarterbacks to ever play the game. As such, it’s great that they have been able to put their differences aside and become good friends over the last few years.
