2020 NFL Mock Draft: Picks 1-10

A 2020 NFL Mock Draft featuring picks 1-10 was released by ESPN recently.

Coming into this college football season most assumed that Tua Tagovailoa would be one of the first players off the board.

Unfortunately, when Tagovailoa suffered a season-ending injury in Alabama’s game against Mississippi State, that suddenly got thrown into question.

In his new mock draft, Todd McShay attempted to account for Tagovailoa’s injury as well as other recent happenings in college football.

According to McShay, the first person off the board to the Cincinnati Bengals will likely be LSU star and Heisman winner Joe Burrow.

If that pick ends up coming to fruition, Burrow would become the third consecutive Heisman-winning quarterback to go No. 1 in the NFL Draft.

After Burrow, McShay has Ohio State defensive star Chase Young going at No. 2 to the New York Giants. At No. 3, he has the Washington Redskins taking Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy.

Assuming his recovery goes as planned, Tagovailoa would then go off the board at No. 4 to the Miami Dolphins – a team he has been linked to for more than a year.

Obviously a lot can change between now and the draft, but the top three players figure to remain at the top of the draft barring some sort of crazy unforeseen injury befalling them.
