Zynga develops a Game for Snapchat’s new platform

Zynga is a beast when it comes to mobile gaming with games like Poker, FarmVille, CSR Racing, and more. Now they are back with a Snapchat exclusive Tiny Royale.

This game is part of the Snap Games platform that focuses on real-time multiplayer gaming built on PlayCanvas game engine.

Tiny Royale is a 30 people battle royale shooter where players can fight solo or in a team of four. Users can interact with everyone else with text and voice-based chat. The game can be played at Snapchat, and a rank matchmaking system will come to the come later in July.

Bernard Kim, Zynga president of publishing, commented that the company is excited to get a chance to work with Snapchat. He added that not many Game developers get the chance to create a live multiplayer game on a social media platform like Snapchat. The team was excited to create a game with the thrill of battle royale and the fast pace theme of Snap Games.

Will Wu, Head of Snap Games, said that they wanted to create a platform where friends can come together and interact in a new way. Tiny Royale is the best example of this philosophy.

Snapchat chooses Zynga because it is a well-known brand in Mobile Gaming. They were our first pick to develop games for our platform. Snapchat is waiting to see how their users to their new platform.

Snap Games was launched back in April, the games available are Crash Arena Turbo Stars Drift Race (ZeptoLab), Alphabear Hustle (Spry Fox), Zombie Rescue Squad (PikPok), and Snake Squad (Game Closure).

Snap also developed a game of its own called “Bitmoji Party”. Users can use the various Bitmoji avatars in other games on their platforms.
