Yankees Moving Aaron Judge To First Base?

Are the New York Yankees moving Aaron Judge to first base? That is the question many are asking.

This past week, team manager Aaron Boone appeared on the Michael Kay Show to discuss the possibility.

Long story short – he is not interested in making that move.

“No, no, no, no,” he said. “Sometimes when a guy has a few injuries, and significant injuries, sometimes there is a unlucky, fluke thing. You are playing major league sports and injuries come with it.

“He’s had a couple of unfortunate injuries the last couple of years, but moving him? Absolutely not,” Boone went on. “He is an elite defender and one of the game’s great players. Never a discussion to move him.”

Judge won the defensive player of the year award in 2019. Presently, he is recovering a stress fracture in his rib and a partially collapsed lung stemming from an outfield dive last season.
