The winner of LSU vs Georgia is clear, says Mark May.
Coming into this Saturday’s SEC Championship Game between LSU and Georgia, the stakes could not be any higher for the lower ranked squad.
Regardless of what happens to the Tigers, they are going to earn a College Football Playoff spot. They are the best team in the nation not called Ohio State, and they will play for a National Championship one way or the other.
Georgia, however, needs to earn its way in. A win earns them a postseason spot. A loss and the year is over.
Recently, Mark May and Lou Holtz analyzed the upcoming SEC title gave and said the winner of this one is fairly clear.
According to May, LSU will likely win by at least two touchdowns. His score prediction is 39-24 in favor of the Tigers.
.@LSUfootball has been scoring pts on teams anytime & as many as they want. That won’t change when they play @GeorgiaFootball in the SEC Championship.

“LSU’s been scoring points on everybody as much as they want, any time their want with quarterback Joe Burrow,” May said about the Tigers.
“But here’s the key, Dave Aranda’s defense last week finally got healthy, finally got right. They held Texas A&M to just seven points – their lowest output of the season. When the defense comes together with this offense they are unstoppable.”
Will May’s trust in LSU ultimately be rewarded? Time will tell.
