Jake Paul has been at the top of the world over the past year. The one-time Youtube sensation has parlayed his social media prominence into a very impressive and extremely lucrative boxing career.
Against all odds he has knocked out the likes of former UFC champion Tyron Woodley, ex-Bellator champion Ben Askren and one-time NBA star Nate Robinson. Each KO has been more impressive than the last.
Along the way, Paul has earned immense wealth. Of the $45 million he reportedly earned in 2021, $40 million came from boxing. For context: that’s more than what Canelo Alvarez made.
Sadly, all the money and fame wasn’t enough to keep Paul’s girlfriend, model Julia Rose, from reportedly dumping him. You will recall, there was a time when she couldn’t keep her hands off him. But that time is over now.
“He’s devastated,” an insider told the New York Post.
“He would like to get back together with her and maybe they will, but they both need to slow down their lives.”
Fortunately, it appears Paul is trying his best to keep going.
“[The insider] added that the brave little soul has ‘moved on with other girls’ but that ‘still in his heart she was the one.’”
Apparently, Paul is now turning to his friends for solace.
“Paul was spotted having what appeared to be a heart-to-heart talk with buddies at Miami Beach restaurant Papi Steak, according to spies,” the report continued.
For obvious reasons, the question everyone has had since this news broke is: why did Rose opt to break-up with arguably the best boxer on the planet today? It’s unclear.
Hopefully an answer will emerge in the coming weeks and months.
Paul’s boxing victories have obviously come with a lot of controversy. Tyron Woodley’s recent comments on whether or not he threw the pair’s second fight were very telling.

That being said, none of that hubbub has actually dimmed his celebrity. If anything, it has only increased it.
It will be interesting to see where Paul goes from here. Will his personal life falling apart lead him to double down and go extra hard in focusing on boxing?
Time will tell.
