What Was Tyreek Hill Drinking During Game? Now We Know (Video)

During the first quarter of Sunday’s showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints, the camera panned over to wide receiver Tyreek Hill doing something a bit odd.

The 26-year-old could be seen drinking some weird green-ish concoction out of a small bottle.

Because the tiny bottle looked like the kind you find in hotel minibars, some speculated that the liquid inside was alcoholic. Not so.

As it turns out, the liquid in question was simply pickle juice.

“What is [Hill] drinking out of a small airplane bottle? Of course not liquor but likely pickle juice (high salt content) for cramps while he gets his hamstring worked on,” Dr. David J. Chao tweeted out.

One week earlier, Hill dealt with cramping in his hamstring against the Miami Dolphins. After he pulled up late in the outing, many fans thought that he was hurt.

Hill spent the entirety of last week listed on the injury report with a hamstring injury due to that cramping.

Ultimately Hill ended up recording 53 yards, six receptions and one touchdown on the day, as the Chiefs beat the Saints 32-29.

With the victory Kansas City moved up to 13-1 on the year, while New Orleans dipped to 10-4.

Based on the way both squads have played up to this point, it wouldn’t be all that shocking to see this match-up again in the Super Bowl.
