Washington Commanders Cheerleader’s Wild Preseason Photos Go Viral

A Washington Commanders cheerleader’s wild preseason photos went viral this week after the team’s memorable win over the Baltimore Ravens on Monday.

Coming into their most recent outing, the Ravens boasted a 24-game preseason winning streak.

A Joey Slye 49-yard field goal with nine seconds left is what officially ended it, but some believe that Ron Rivera’s decision to play his squad’s better players a bit longer than usual also played a pivotal role.

The Commanders played starting quarterback Sam Howell and their first-team offense for the first and second quarters, whereas the Ravens were without both Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley.

Either way, preseason wins and losses don’t really matter. Aside from the streak storyline, the other major story that went viral in the aftermath of this game was a Commanders cheerleader’s wild photos causing a stir.

Cheerleading aside, it will be interesting to see what the Commanders can cobble together in 2023.

Obviously there is a lot of excitement and optimism about what Howell may bring to the table this year. He finished with two touchdowns, zero picks and 188 yards on 19-of-25 passing Monday night. But again, preseason play isn’t really indicative of anything.

Veteran backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett is obviously waiting in the wings, but everyone is hoping that Howell can step up and be the franchise quarterback that Washington needs him to be.

So far he has made more headlines this offseason for his handsy encounter with Kay Adams than anything else.

Over the summer Washington spent nearly $40 million on tackle Andrew Wylie and center Nick Gates, so the front office is definitely committed to protecting the quarterback. Now the quarterback just needs to step up and deliver.

Defensively, retaining Daron Payne was obviously what the Commanders came into the offseason with the intention of doing. And they did it.

Now if recently drafted Mississippi State cornerback Emmanuel Forbes and Illinois defensive back Jartavius Martin can just live up to their high ceilings in a hurry, maybe the Commanders’ defense will surprise some people in 2023.

One way or another, Washington is already a winner this year because of the ownership change. Everything else will just be a cherry on top.

This is a group that went 8-8-1 in 2022 without a competent quarterback and a lot of issues. It’s not a stretch to say that, if a few stars align for the squad, a winning record may not be off the table.

One way or another, the Commanders’ beloved cheerleading squad will be there rooting the team on every step of the way.
