Vikings Issue Surprising Dalvin Cook Injury Update

The Vikings issued a surprising Dalvin Cook injury update this week.

On Sunday, Minnesota beat the LA Chargers in a 39-10 romp. The victory officially earned the Vikings their 10th of the season through 14 games.

While the win was no doubt sweet, one worry that came out of it was a shoulder injury sustained by Cook.

Prior to exiting the game, Cook had recorded 27 yards on nine carries. In addition, he caught three passes for 16 yards.

On Monday, head coach Mike Zimmer offered a positive update on what had transpired.

“Vikings coach Mike Zimmer tells reporters that star RB Dalvin Cook’s shoulder injury is one Cook could play through and that ‘it feels good today,’” Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network tweeted out.

For the season, Cook has recorded 1,135 yards and 13 scores while also catching 53 passes for 519 yards. The numbers are career highs for him.

Next up for the Vikings is a very important match-up with their rival Green Bay Packers.

Barring a setback of some sort, Cook should be in the lineup for that outing as his team looks to tie up the race for the NFC North crown.
