Vanessa Bryant’s newest photo with Los Angeles Lakers team president Rob Pelinka went viral this week.
Back when Kobe Bryant was an active player, there were few people in the world he trusted more than his agent. Who could forget Pelinka’s instrumental role in that messy situation between Vanessa and Karl Malone?
Since then, Pelinka has obviously transitioned into an executive NBA position. But while his job description has changed, his closeness to the Bryant family has not.
This week Vanessa shared a photo on social media showing just how close she and Pelinka still are:
You love to see it.
Obviously Vanessa is no stranger to going viral. Between her photos by the pool, her party pictures with Kim Kardashian and the rowdy girls’ night snaps she took with La La Anthony, the Bryant family matriarch has been in the headlines nonstop over the last few months.
Pelinka, similarly, has also been in the news nonstop as of late. Only in his case, it is for the maneuvering he is doing in his capacity as the head of the Lakers’ front office.
As things presently stand, L.A. is one of four teams in the running for Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine.
In addition, Pelinka may be on the verge of a reunion with a key role player from the 2020 championship squad. Whether that deal ultimately comes together or not remains to be seen.

That said – Pelinka is nothing if not busy.
For obvious reasons, it really warmed a lot of Lakers fans’ hearts to see that, after all these years, Vanessa and Pelinka are still as tight as they clearly still are.
Will Vanessa and Pelinka share more meaningful moments as 2024 commences? Time will tell.
