Is USC firing Clay Helton over poor recruiting?
Nobody would blame the school if it did.
Amidst stories of various programs across the Power Five pulling in stars left and right, Helton and the Trojan are continuing to embarrass themselves.
As of today, USC has the 53rd ranked recruiting class in the nation.
The only two Pac-12 programs doing worse are Arizona and Washington State.

And even those schools, while being rated lower, have more incoming recruits than USC does.
USC as of this point only has two four-star recruits coming into next year.
That is not great.
All in all, 2020 marks the first time in eight years that the Trojans have not landed a single commitment from a quarterback.
That is an insane fact.
Helton is currently on very thin ice. Next season will be a make or break year for him.
Will he survive to 2021? We’ll find out soon enough.
