Urban Meyer will become the next Dallas Cowboys coach.
Meyer, 55, has been a Fox college football analyst this year as he evaluates his head coaching options.
Fresh off successful campaigns at both Florida and Ohio State, though, he will have his pick of where he will want to go next – and the Dallas appear to be at the top of that list.
Earlier this year, Meyer was asked about whether he would consider a job with the Cowboys.

“Absolutely. Absolutely,” he said. “That one? Yes.”
Meyer didn’t stop there, though.
“That’s the New York Yankees, that’s the Dallas Cowboys, that’s the one,” he continued. Great city, you got Dak Prescott, you got Zeke Elliott, you got a loaded team … that’s the one job in professional football that you kind of say, ‘I gotta go do that.’”
In the aftermath of Sunday’s disappointing loss to the New England Patriots, there are new questions surrounding Jason Garrett’s future with the Cowboys.
Owner Jerry Jones openly called his coaching staff out, and it is becoming increasingly clear that the situation is untenable.
According to sportsbooks, Meyer is now the overwhelming favorite to become the next coach of the Cowboys.
Will that transition happen before this NFL season ends? It’s unlikely.
But at some point between now and next year, bet on Meyer heading to Dallas.

No thank you, everywhere he coaches controversy follows, the Cowboys have enough problems already.
