Eagles Fans Accuse Seahawks Of Cheating In Win
Eagles fans accused Seahawks fans of cheating in Sunday’s win.
While the opening round of the NFL playoffs have been married with blown calls by officials, the sequence that ticked off Philly fans was a little different.
Early in the NFC Wild Card game between the Seahawks and Eagles on Sunday, the latter squad’s quarterback Carson Wentz was knocked out of the game with a head injury. He did not return.
Wentz was the victim of a particularly brutal hit from Seahawks defensive lineman Jadeveon Clowney, and many Eagles fans that collision was a “dirty” one.
I’m sorry but that’s a dirty play https://t.co/3gsdGXmnq2

For what it is worth, ESPN host Trey Wingo seemed to echo those sentiments. He also referred to the hit that Clowney laid on Wentz as “dirty.”
A lot of Philly fans came away feeling like Wentz’s absence ultimately cost their team the game.
Given how close it was at the end, it is hard to argue that Wentz wouldn’t have made some sort of difference.

The officiating is terrible. Year after year it gets worse. Some cases it looks like they have bets on the game!
