Dustin Johnson won the 2020 Masters at Augusta National in record fashion on Sunday. Despite a slow start to the proceedings, the 36-year-old roared back when it mattered most to finish with the lowest score in tournament history.
Johnson ultimately tapped in for par on the 18th for a 4-under 68 to finish at 20-under 268. In doing so, he shattered by two shots the record set by Tiger Woods in 1997 and matched by Jordan Spieth in 2015.
After securing his big win, Johnson celebrated with his fiancée Paulina Gretzky.

Johnson and Gretzky first met in 2009, when he came over for a family dinner after being paired with Gretzky’s mom Janet in a pro-am.
The pair did not go on their first date until 2012.
For whatever reason, something just felt right.

Johnson and Gretzky ended up sticking with one another through life’s various ups and downs throughout the years, ultimately welcoming two children, Tatum in 2015 and River in 2017, together.

Needless to say, their love was on full display on Sunday afternoon.
After his big Masters win, Johnson got extremely emotional.

“It’s a dream come true. As a kid you always dreamed about becoming a Masters champion,” Johnson said fighting back tears.
“It’s just incredible, obviously, as you can tell.”
Johnson then took another moment to collect himself.

“I’ve never had this much trouble gathering myself,” he admitted.
Johnson has quietly emerged as one of the best golfers of the past decade. If he can continue on this roll, he may eventually go down as one of the all-time greats in the sport.
