Tyson Fury Licks Deontay Wilder’s Blood During Fight

Tyson Fury licked Deontay Wilder’s blood during the pair’s fight on Saturday night.

Fury ultimately defeated Wilder in the seventh round of their showdown by TKO. Before the match was called, however, things got a bit weird.

On two separate occasions in the lead-up to the eventual stoppage, Fury knocked his opponent to the canvas.

With victory in sight in the seventh round, Fury leaned over and licked some blood off Wilder’s neck.

The blood was coming down from a badly busted left ear, and apparently it looked too appealing to Fury to leave alone.

Fury’s dominant victory was his way of righting a wrong that has haunted him in 2018 – the only time he did not walk away from a professional boxing match with a victory.

With Saturday’s showing, Fury is now 30-0-1 in his career, with 21 knockouts.

Wilder’s loss was the first of his professional career. His record now sits at 42-1-1.

After Wilder recovers, it will be interesting to see if there is any interest in a third bout.

Although Fury won definitively and unquestionably, he and Wilder are the two biggest names in the sport right now. Money could be reason enough for a trilogy, even though Fury does not really have anything left to prove at this stage.
