Tua Tagovailoa To Be Drafted By Dolphins Or Chargers, Says ESPN

Tua Tagovailoa will be drafted by the Dolphins or Chargers, says ESPN.

Tagovailoa announced on Monday afternoon that he will be entering the 2020 NFL Draft.

A year ago this news would not have been particularly surprising. Tagovailoa entered the 2019 college football season as arguably the best player available.

Unfortunately, a season-ending hip injury threw his draft status into question. Suddenly, a guy expected to be taken with one of the top three picks faced falling out of the top 20.

As such, Tagovailoa gave serious consideration to returning to Alabama and essentially proving himself again to NFL teams.

After a lot of thought he ultimately decided that this was not necessary.

Following Tagovailoa’s big announcement, ESPN draft insider Mel Kiper Jr. gave his take on where he expected the young quarterback to go.

According to Kiper, Tagovailoa will likely be selected by either the Miami Dolphins at No. 5 or Los Angeles Chargers at No. 6.

Kiper’s partner, Todd McShay, thinks it is a lock that Tagovailoa goes top 10.

Where will Tagovailoa ultimately end up getting selected? We should find out once and for all in a few months.
