Tua Tagovailoa Isn’t That Good, Says NBC Expert

Tua Tagovailoa is not that good, says on NBC expert. According to Chris Simms, the former Alabama star is not quite what he is being sold as.

In fact, Simms believes that LSU’s Joe Burrow, Oregon’s Justin Herbert and Utah State’s Jordan Love should all go ahead of him in the 2020 NFL Draft.

“He’s fast, but he’s not real fast,” Simms said. “His size is an issue to me. Yes, his injury history is an issue to me. But size, ability to throw in the pocket with people around him, make big throws down field with linemen in his face. You’re not going to see that.”

Tagovailoa’s arm strength is another question mark for Simms.

“It’s a good arm, but it’s not a great arm,” he said.

“Again, I think you have to be careful when you watch Alabama. It’s a very good offense schematically, and it has some of the best talent that you’re going to find.”

All in all, Simms does not believe Tagovailoa should be taken by the Miami Dolphins at the fifth overall selection.

“To pick him at No. 5,” he said. “Man, I wouldn’t feel comfortable with that as a GM.”

Will the Dolphins heed Simms’ warning? We’ll get our answer once and for all come April.
