On Friday night the Miami Heat took on the Los Angeles Lakers with him notably absent.
The reason for Waiters’ absence is one of the odder things to have transpired over the course of this season.
According to Andy Slater, Waiters suffered something of a medical emergency on the flight to Los Angeles when he “overdosed on gummies.”

Waitesr reportedly lost consciousness as a result of the overdose and then suffered a seizure when he was woken up.
There has been no official team confirmation of what precisely happened on that plane, but there has been confirmation that Waiters was at the center of a “medical emergency.”
Waiters has been going through something of a rough year even before this alleged gummy overdose.
He has not actually played in a single outing so far this season and was suspended from the Heat’s opener for “conduct detrimental to the team.”
Is this ultimately going to be the wake-up call Waiters needed to get his mind right?
