Over the past two weeks San Francisco 49ers quarterback Trey Lance has emerged as one of the NFL’s most exciting young rookie prospects.

In Week 1 against the Kansas City Chiefs, Lance got off to a hot start by hitting wide receiver Trent Sherfield with an 80-yard bomb for a quick touchdown. After going 1-of-2 for the score, he subsequently connected on just one of his final seven passing attempts for the day.

In Week 2, against the Los Angeles Chargers, Lance was similarly uneven. He started the outing super slow – going 1-of-5 for 9 yards with an interception through his first three series of the day. Then everything clicked, and he wound up completing 7-of-8 passes for 93 yards and two touchdowns on his final three series.

Needless to say, Lance has been promising – though not super consistent. Nevertheless, the star potential is clear, which is probably why he is getting an increasing amount of attention in recent days. And one byproduct of that increased attention, is additional scrutiny on his girlfriend – Brynn Chandler.

Chandler was in attendance for Sunday’s outing, and she even posted this message on social media:

For obvious reasons, the post immediately went viral.

Chandler currently has 11,000 followers – but it’s safe to assume that count will increase exponentially as Lance’s profile continues to grow.

At the moment, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan has not committed to Lance as the starter for next year. Still, the move feels inevitable. Particularly given the big regret Shanahan has admitted to regarding the rookie’s debut.

Either way, if it doesn’t happen in the preseason, it’ll happen shortly thereafter. Lance will start at some point.  And once he does – Chandler’s social accounts will absolutely explode.
