Trevor Lawrence, Clemson were angry with Ohio State on Saturday evening.

The moment from this weekend’s Fiesta Bowl that neither Ohio State nor Clemson fans can stop talking about is defensive end Shaun Wade getting ejected for targeting after hitting Trevor Lawrence with the crown of his helmet.

Something changed after that transpired, and Clemson ultimately came back from being down 16-0 to winning the game 29-23.

Speaking to reporters this week, Lawrence said that he was “pissed off” after the hit and that he was worried that an injured collarbone would take him out of the game.

The Clemson quarterback then acknowledged that he had a “different edge” following that hit.

“Then I got pissed off because they were over there thinking they knocked me out and they had all the momentum,” he said.

“So I popped up. I just had a different edge when I got up.”

Lawrence finished the game with 259 yards and two touchdowns in the second half.

While Clemson fans were outraged about the nature of the hit, Ohio State fans thought the ejection was hasty and did not agree with it.
