Trae Young’s Savage 3-Word Roast Of The New York Knicks

Trae Young’s Savage 3-Word Roast Of The New York Knicks

The Atlanta Hawks defeated the New York Knicks 103-89 on Wednesday night. With the win, they earned a 4-1 first-round series victory and will now advance to the second round to face off against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Hawks star Trae Young finished with a game-high 36 points, plus four rebounds, nine assists, and two steals. It was a fitting conclusion for the 22-year-old, as he absolutely dominated the Knicks from start to finish in this match-up.

With his 36-point outburst on Wednesday, Young joined Michael Jordan as the only players to record three straight 30-points games at Madison Square Garden in the playoffs.

After the fact, Young officially closed the door on the Knicks with an absolutely savage three-word tweet.

It was a fitting conclusion to a fairly one-sided rivalry – although the Hawks did admittedly start openly mocking the Knicks towards the end of the series.

It has been quite a journey for Young so for this season. He went from being called out by Brooklyn Nets coach Steve Nash and having his own teammates badmouth him to being the single biggest driving force behind the Hawks’ electrifying playoff run. And now he has booked a ticket to the second round of the NBA playoffs.

Just goes to show – fortunes can change quick in the NBA.
