Tom Herman gets brutally honest about Texas losing to Baylor in a recent press conference.

Coming into this season expectations were somewhat high for Texas.

Although “Texas is back” has become something of a running joke in college football, a lot of people really did think the Longhorns might challenge for the Big 12 this year.

Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent that this season would be like all the other ones in recent memory.

Heading into Saturday’s game versus Baylor there was a lot of anticipation over whether Longhorns could challenge a squad with only one loss on the year.

Turns out, the answer was no.

Baylor ultimately blew out Texas 24-10.

After the game, Herman got brutally honest about where his program stands.

“I’ve done a poor job and the buck stops with me,” he said.

“We’ll evaluate everything.”

Herman likely is not going anywhere any time soon, but it is clear that Texas needs to make a change to correct course.

What will that change be? Time will tell.
