Tom Brady’s next team was revealed by NFL insider Jason La Canfora this week.
Brady’s status for 2020 is the biggest mystery heading into the offseason.
As an unrestricted free agent, Brady is able to leave the New England Patriots and go anywhere he wants.
Various reports have linked him to the Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders, Denver Broncos, Tennessee Titans and Miami Dolphins.
According to a column La Canfora recently penned for CBS Sports, the odds on favorites to land Brady’s services this summer are the Chargers.
“I’ve long heard this spot would hold unique appeal with Brady and have done significant reporting on it since,” he wrote.
“His trainers and infrastructure are already in SoCal, his family would be a very short private plane ride away, he enjoyed living in Malibu before, holds off-season workouts at USC.”
Brady is the domino that will ultimately determine where a lot of other quarterbacks end up this summer.
Philip Rivers, Teddy Bridgewater, Andy Dalton, Nick Foles and Cam Newton may all end up at new locales in 2020, and it will all depend on where Brady chooses to plant his flag.
A final decision from Brady is expected to come at some point in the next few months.
From there, a game of quarterback musical chairs will ensue across the rest of the league.
