Titans Reveal Surprising Derrick Henry Injury Update

The Titans revealed a surprising Derrick Henry injury update on Saturday.

Heading into Sunday’s big game versus the New Orleans Saints, many have speculated on how healthy Henry would be.

The 25-year-old star has repeatedly expressed a desire to participate despite his hamstring injury, but his status for this week’s outing has continued to be up in the air.

According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Tennessee has downgraded Henry to “questionable” with just 24 hours to go before the Saints game.

Not being able to use Henry would be a big blow for a Titans offense that is desperately looking for a win on Sunday.

Thus far this season, Henry has recorded 1,329 yards and 15 scores. Ever since Ryan Tannehill took over the team’s starting quarterback in Week 7, Henry has led the league in carries, rushing yards per game, rushing yards per carry and rushing touchdowns.

The Titans badly need a win versus New Orleans to keep their playoff hopes alive.

On Saturday, the Houston Texans defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to secure the AFC South crown. That means Tennessee needs to win out to contend for a Wild Card berth.

Will Henry ultimately be available come Sunday? A final decision will likely be made soon.
