Tiger Woods Gets Brutally Honest About His Struggles

Tigers Woods gets brutally honest about his struggles in a recent interview.

Woods ended Friday 2-over-par 72 fresh on the heels of a 2-under showing one day prior. As a result, he is now eight strokes back of Li Haotong and in 44th place at the PGA Championship at TPC Harding Park.

After his most recent poor day, Woods acknowledged that things were not going well for him.

“I really struggled with getting the speed of the greens today,” he admitted.

“They looked faster than what they were putting. They were firm coming into the greens, but they weren’t putting as fast as they looked, and then as the day wore on, they got a little more fuzzy and got even slower, and I struggled even a little bit more hitting the putts hard enough.”

Tiger Woods Struggles With Speed Of Greens

What really stood out on Friday was Woods’ inability to capitalize on multiple opportunities. It really did seem like he simply could not get used to the speed of the greens, which should not come as a huge surprise since he has had similar issues over the past few years.

That being said, Saturday is a new day. If Woods can get it together and put together a performance more akin to what he did on Thursday, there is no reason why he can’t find himself back in the mix of things.
