Chris Paul is one of the greatest point guards to ever play the game.
As a 12-time All-Star, four-time All-NBA First Team member and one of the 75 best players in the league’s history, Paul occupies rarified air. His accomplishments also allow him to speak with a certain level of authority on other players.
Case in point: what he did this week.
In a conversation on NBA Hooper Vision, Paul spoke honestly about Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving.

“The stuff he can do with the ball is sick,” Paul remarked.
Paul went on to recall how he observed Irving play at Madison Square Garden when he was still in high school. Those memories left an intense impression, particularly in regards to Irving’s handles.
And considering how top-tier Paul’s own handles are – that’s quite the compliment.
This isn’t the first time in recent months Paul has spoken out about Irving. He previously did so when he opted to get very honest about Irving’s reluctance to get vaccinated.
Interestingly enough, just this week Irving actually spoke out about a teammate of Paul’s: Devin Booker.

In Irving’s estimation, Booker deserves to be in the conversation for NBA MVP this year. Time will tell if Irving’s plea on the matter will ultimately resonate.
Paul and Irving are two of the greatest guards in the league’s history. And it’s nice to see in this day and age of petty beefs and feuding over nonsense, that these two have enough respect for one another to publicly commend each other in such a respectable way.
