Stephen Curry Gets Brutally Honest About Luka Doncic (Video)

The Golden State Warriors fell to the Dallas Mavericks 122-113 on Thursday night.

It marked their seventh loss in their last nine outings, and ensured that they would only remain .5 games ahead of the third-place Memphis Grizzlies in the Western Conference.

A big reason why Dallas prevailed was the play of Luka Doncic. He finished with 41 points in the game, and ensured that Moses Moody’s late heroics were all for naught. Moses would score all 13 of his points for the Warriors in the final quarter.

After the game, Stephen Curry, who couldn’t even get off a shot in a scoreless fourth quarter, got brutally honest about what it was like playing against Doncic.

“When you’re playing a team that has the head of the snake like that, you got to find creative ways to take him out,” Curry told said.

“Make it a little more difficult for him to get his shots. I don’t think we did that the entire game. He got off early in the first quarter, and that gave him confidence the rest of the game.”

Curry’s tone has noticeably shifted as of late. His blunt commentary on Andrew Wiggins’ recent struggles was another example of that.

Obviously the Warriors are still sitting in good position in the Western Conference. But they need to regain some semblance of their early-season momentum.

The last thing you want to do is end the year on a losing run.

Will the Warriors ultimately be able to get it together at some point in the next few weeks? Time will tell.
