The mother of Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry found herself in the headlines last year over her ongoing divorce from longtime husband, Dell Curry.
Details regarding their pair’s split were particularly salacious, with infidelity seemingly being a hot topic of conversation.
There was even talk of Stephen and his wife, Ayesha, taking sides.
This week, during an interview, Sonya addressed her divorce from Dell and that it entailed.
“To feel like you cause other people pain in any situation is difficult,” she said. “…Well I start with raising the children that we wouldn’t purchase newspapers when Dell was playing because of that ….. one day they love you and one day they’re tearing you down criticizing you.”
Steph has obviously had his opportunity to say his peace about the divorce, and now Sonya is doing the same.
Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first time in recent days that Sonya has broached a difficult topic. Last week, she also made headlines for revealing just how close she came to having an abortion when she got pregnant with Steph.
