Seahawks Reveal Marshawn Lynch’s Salary

The Seattle Seahawks revealed Marshawn Lynch’s salary on Wednesday.

Lynch, 33, agreed to return to the Seattle Seahawks this week after Pete Carroll’s team essentially lost all their running backs to injuries.

Rashaad Penny suffered an ACL tear several weeks ago. Then in Week 16, Chris Carson and C.J. Prosise went down.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Lynch will make $60,588 for his efforts in Week 17 and then additional pay for the postseason.

Last year, Lynch played in a total of six games for the Oakland Raiders and rushed for 376 yards and three scores on 90 carries. A groin injury ultimately forced him out of action.

In 2015, during his final season in Seattle, Lynch was out for most of the year with a sports hernia and only ended up playing in seven games. In that timespan he rushed for 417 yards and three touchdowns.

The last time Lynch played all 16 games, back in 2014, he rushed for 1,306 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Given how reliant the Seahawks are on Russell Wilson to lead the offense these days, Lynch’s workload presumably won’t be too heavy. And if he is truly healthy, he could be exactly what Seattle needs heading into the playoffs.
