Saints Star Mocks Kirk Cousins And Vikings

A New Orleans Saints star mocks Kirk Cousins and the Vikings in recent comments.

The Saints will host Cousins and his team this weekend in the opening around of the NFL playoffs.

New Orleans’ star quarterback, Drew Brees, is something of a proven commodity in the postseason. Everyone knows what to expect from him.

The same cannot be said for Cousins.

In two years with the Vikings, Cousins has put together an 18-12-1 record. The one lingering slight against him over the course of that span has been his inability to win big games.

In an interview with Rich Eisen, New Orleans defensive end Cam Jordan took a pretty brutal shot at Cousins.

Eisen asked Jordan to give his thoughts on Minnesota’s passing game, and the Saints star did not pull any punches.

Pointing to recent history, Jordan noted that it all depends on “what kind of Kirk Cousins you’re going to get” in the game.

In Jordan’s opinion, “at times” Cousins looks like a solid passer.

“At times he looks to be a very proficient quarterback,” Jordan continued.

That is quite the backhanded compliment.

Will Cousins be able to make Jordan eat his words this weekend? We’ll find out soon enough.

Cousins is 1-2 in his three career games versus the Saints.

  1. What are you talking about, Kruger? Jordan did not mock and he was not brutal, he gave moderate and accurate answers. Cousins play is up and down, usually depending on the Vikings running game.
Inconsistency and being called a proficient quarterback who has not won the big game are not brutal statements. It looks like you were trying to get a few more views, because there is no correlation between your overwrought description and Jordan’s actual statement.
