Ryan Day Has Message For Ohio State Fans

Ryan Day had a message for Ohio State fans this week.

That message? Last year’s failures will fuel the program to new heights next season.

The Buckeyes very clearly still are not over their College Football Playoff defeat to Clemson.

Ohio State fell to the Tigers in the Fiesta Bowl 29-23, but it was a controversial outing that many felt was decided by the refs.

As such, it understandably left a bad taste in the mouths of all involved.

This week, during halftime of Ohio State’s men’s basketball game, the football team was honored for their 2019 accomplishments.

During the ceremony, Day sent a strong message out to Buckeyes Nation.

“That game did not sit well with us,” he said.

“And you have my word we’re not going to forget about that game.”

The crowd absolutely loved the sentiment.

Ohio State returns a very strong unit in 2020. Quarterback Justin Fields is widely regarded as a Heisman frontrunner, and although the defense is taking some hits, it should still be solid next season.

The Buckeyes figure to be a guaranteed top-five squad heading into 2020.
