Russell Wilson Holds Secret Meeting Amid Talks With Steelers, Giants, Raiders

Russell Wilson held a secret meeting this week with an NFL team he hadn’t previously been linked to.

Over the past few days Wilson has been in the headlines for everything ranging from his brouhaha with Vanessa Bryant and Ciara to his intimate photos with his wife.

On Friday, Wilson found himself trending once more – this time for a secret meeting he had with an NFL that nobody thought would be in the running for him.

“Before traveling to Pittsburgh today, Russell Wilson stopped in New Jersey for what one source described as ‘an exploratory meeting’ with the Giants, per league sources,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.

“Wilson is in Pittsburgh today to meet with the Steelers, per sources.”

What makes this interesting, of course, is the fact that the Giants literally just gave Daniel $160 million over four years last season.

Jones went on to miss time with a hurt neck before suffering a season-ending knee injury in a showdown against the Las Vegas Raiders.

It goes without saying that he isn’t a superstar, but it is debatable whether Wilson is actually better than Jones at this point in his career.

If not the Steelers or Giants, the Raiders could also be a contender for Wilson’s services. Because they could provide a job for Ciara as well, many view them as a legit suitor for him.

The next few weeks promise to be interesting for Wilson. He is certainly in demand, but with some conditions.

Where will Wilson ultimately be playing when the 2024-25 NFL season ultimately kicks off? Time will tell.
