Rory McIlroy Makes Surprising Tiger Woods Comment
Rory McIlroy made a surprising Tiger Woods comment on Wednesday.
Heading into the Farmer’s Insurance Open, McIlroy was paired up with Woods.
That prompted him to open up about the first time he and Woods were paired together at the tournament.
“I’ve never said ‘good shot’ as much as in my life playing with anyone.
“It was just ‘good shot, good shot, good shot,’” the four-time major champ said with a smile.
Rory was asked about the first time he was paired with Tiger (2010 Hero World Challenge): “I’ve never said ‘good shot’ as much as in my life playing with anyone. It was just ‘good shot, good shot, good shot.'”

Back in 2010, when McIlroy and Woods were first paired up at the Hero World Challenge, the latter golfer finished second after scoring -16. He would go on to lose in a playoff to Graeme McDowell.
Expectations are high for Woods this year.
A five-time champ at the World Challenge Events, many are hoping that he will be able to build on some of the momentum he established in 2019.
The tournament is set to tee off on Thursday, with Woods scheduled to do his thing at 9:40 a.m. PST.
Woods will be playing with Jon Rahm and Collin Morikawa.
