Real Reason Cowboys Brought Own Benches To WFT Game

Real Reason Cowboys Brought Own Benches To WFT Game

The Dallas Cowboys made headlines early Sunday morning when news broke that they opted to bring their own benches to a showdown against the Washington Football Team.

It was an odd move, to say the least.

Reactions on social media were fairly predictable:

So what gives? Why did Dallas make such an elaborate move? As it turns out, it’s based on something they heard from the Seattle Seahawks a few weeks back.

“Here’s the deal on the Cowboys’ benches today: Cowboys got word from Seattle that the hotseat benches provided for them at FedEx Field kept going out during the game,” NFL insider Todd Archer reported.

“Cowboys partnered with company in Cleveland that shipped them to FedEx Field so wouldn’t be an issue today.”

FedEx Stadium, where this game is set to occur, is expected be somewhere around 49 degrees by game time.

This is an extremely consequential game for both sides. With a victory the Washington Football Team would move within one game of Dallas in the NFC East. Of course they’d seek out every possible advantage.

Of all the crazy things we have seen from the Cowboys this year, including a female fan opting to attend a game with no pants on, this doesn’t even crack the top 20 in terms of weirdness.
