Rapper Cam’ron Goes Off On Nets Star Ben Simmons (Video)

New York rapper Cam’ron is officially fed up with Brooklyn Nets star Ben Simmons.

When the Nets initially acquired Simmons in a trade for James Harden last year, the hope was that he could at the very least be a complimentary piece around Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

So far this season, he has been awful in that role. Simmons is averaging 5.6 points per game on 44 percent shooting from the field – a far cry from his career averages of 15.8 points per game on 54.5 percent shooting.

Following Simmons’ most recent dud effort, Cam’ron went off.

“Look I’m gonna be real brief and short: Ben Simmons, stop wasting my n****s’ time,” Cam’ron said.

“I’m dead f**king serious. Stop playing with my n****s. You’ve got n****s playing two-on-f**king-five out there. Stop playing with n****s, man.

“If you don’t want to f**king play basketball, go to f**k with the Kardashians, the Jenners, whoever the f**k you with. When we’re watching on TV it’s like oh it’s all good. I went to the f**king game last night and watched you shoot a airball layup. Stop playing with my n****s!”

People couldn’t help but notice how angry Cam’ron was in the video. Obviously Simmons is bad – but the New York-based rapper was truly heated.

Fan reaction was mixed:

It will be interesting to see where the Nets go from here. Harden may longer be the MVP he once was, but at least he is still a capable player. Simmons, at the moment, is an absolute lemon.

Irving has been very honest in recent weeks about Simmons’ fit with the franchise.

Durant can’t even contain his frustration anymore.

Something is going to need to change here.

Obviously if Simmons improves, all the conversations surrounding him will be moot and everyone will move on.

Should he continue to struggle, though – Simmons will find himself only falling further and further under the magnifying glass.
