Paulina Gretzky celebrated her fiancé’s impressive victory this past weekend with a selfie that almost immediately went viral.

Johnson, arguably his sport’s top performer in world over the past few years, took back his first place position atop golf’s rankings. A notable showing during Sunday’s Northern Trust event restored some semblance of balance to the universe when Johnson finished at 30-under-par – the second lowest total in PGA tour history.

“I knew I was playing well and I knew the guys were going to shoot low,” Johnson said after the fact.

“I was trying to get to 30 under. … I’ve never shot 30 under in four rounds. Just something that I wanted to do.”

Among the people excited about Johnson’s performance were his children: Tatum, age 5, and River, age 3.

“Dad’s the best,” Tatum said in a story posted to Instagram by Gretzky.

Along with some other things, one of the items Gretzky posted that day was this selfie, which went viral for obvious reasons:

Paulina Gretzky Is A Viral Sensation

Gretzky, 31, has long been recognized as something of a viral sensation. Her Instagram photos often spread like wildfire, and her name recognition in the sports community usually rivals or exceeds that of actual athletes.

As of the end of August, Gretzky boasts more than 800,000 followers on Instagram.

Next up for Johnson will be a showing at the BMW Championship this coming weekend. If he wins again, another popular Gretzky selfie will no doubt follow shortly thereafter.
