Paul Casey Mocked On Twitter Over Memorial Showing
Paul Casey came into Friday morning fresh off a decent showing in the first round of the Memorial Tournament. He hit 11 of 14 fairways and 9 of 18 greens, ultimately not leaving a single miss on putts within 10 feet. For the day, he was tied for 18th at 1 under.
Naturally, many wondered if that solid momentum would carry over into Friday.
It did not.
Casey’s performance early Friday morning did not earn him much applause on Twitter.
I take no enjoyment in posting this one.

Casey, 42, achieved his highest-ever ranking back in 2009 when he came in third. It is probably safe to assume he will not replicating that feat in 2020.
