College gymnastics meet season is officially here, and nobody is more excited about that than LSU star Olivia Dunne.
Ahead of her squad facing off against Utah, though – Dunne and her teammates decided to take a little vacation.
Dunne has obviously been a whirlwind tour of media obligations over the past year, so the opportunity to relax was a welcome one.
The imagery from Dunne’s trip largely speaks for itself:

Dunne’s previous get-togethers with her teammates always generated a lot of buzz as well.
With her mind right from the trip, Dunne then shifted her focus onto LSU’s match-up against Utah.

Unfortunately, despite Dunne’s best efforts, LSU ended up falling to the No. 3 ranked Utes by a final score of 197.275-196.775.
LSU head coach Jay Clark described his team’s start to the year as “solid.”
“The difference in the meet was that we walked on almost all of our landings throughout the meet, and they didn’t,” he continued.
“We can land better than that. I’m proud of the fight and the fact that we can go on the road and not fall. It’s a baseline start and we came very close to doing what we wanted to do, and now we’re going to move on to the next and focus on getting better.”
Next up they will get the opportunity for redemption against Kentucky.
To say that Dunne has a crazy year would be an understatement. Between the stir she caused with her Christmas outfit, her now-infamous locker room video and her date night snaps – it has been one thing after another with her.
On the same week as the Damar Hamlin situation. Tragic. https://t.co/eD2l2yLQ0s

And that was all before the Tigers’ season could even commence.
By any objective measure, Dunne was the biggest collegiate star of 2022.
Will she experience something similar in 2023?
Time will tell.
